An innovative operations and technical executive with extensive experience in the processing industry, Richard Arthur recently retired from four years at Petroplus Marketing, AG, Zug. Switzerland, where he was Capital Projects Manager overseeing the capital budget of $300-350 million per year. Responsibilities included strategic planning and stewardship of the refineries' spending results.

During twelve years at Kellogg Brown & Root, Arthur was Manager of the Project Definition Department which generated over $50 million annually in front end engineering work. His work-process improvements led to better retention and career development of young KBR engineers. Prior to KBR Arthur served two years as Vice President of Refining at Clark Refining and Marketing in St. Louis, Missouri, where he improved productivity at two refineries. During ten years at CITGO's Champlin Refining & Chemicals in Corpus Christi Texas Arthur moved up the ranks from Manager of Economics and Planning to General Superintendent of Refinery Technical Services, managing budgets and operations in process, storage and logistics, and making significant improvements in plant reliability and productivity. Earlier in his career Arthur served at UOP Process Division in Des Plaines Illinois, as Manager of Development Engineering, Senior Design Engineer, and Chief Operating Engineer.

Arthur has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, an MBA in International Business from Loyola University and later completed an Executive Development Program, University of Chicago.
